Zach Schwartz (he/him) is keenly interested in the intersections between enrollment management, data science, sociocultural dynamics, psychology, economics, and marketing. Zach takes pride in “demystifying” the world of arts education for students, families, and communities. His music school brainstorming workshop, “Average Boring Tuesday”, has been presented in forums throughout the country.
Zach has the honor of serving as the Director of Admissions for the Boston University School of Music. He is also a proud member of Equity Arc, and sits on the Board of Directors of the Music Admissions Roundtable, a national organization uniting hundreds of collegiate music programs and the dedicated enrollment professionals who annually guide thousands of young musicians to further artistic study. Previously, Zach was a member of the Enrollment team at New England Conservatory for six years, has worked as a contract publicist for PARMA Recordings, and formerly co-headed the arts marketing agency Promote Classical.
Trained as a classical saxophonist, Zach is the founding baritone saxophonist of the Pharos Quartet, with whom he has performed all over the Northeast, recorded, taught masterclasses, and commissioned new chamber works.
Zach holds the degree of Master of Performance (MPerf) from the Royal College of Music in London, and the Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Arts degrees, both from Boston University.
Outside of his administrative work, Zach can be found cooking at home in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston, and sourcing antique glass and housewares from all over the United States for his vintage shop, Homaged (HomagedWares.com – if you’re curious!)
